Structural & Stratigraphic Interpretation, Mapping and 3D Geological Modelling
Swann Geoscience delivers high-quality structural and stratigraphic interpretation for exploration and resource development-stage projects.
Capabilities include:
- Detailed structural logging and oriented core analysis and cross-section development
- Geological field mapping in complex terranes
- 3D geological modelling to refine resource understanding with strong Leapfrog capabilities
Projects benefit from precise, practical interpretations grounded in field observation and integrated datasets.

Specialist in Orogenic & Intrusion-Related Gold Systems
Swann Geoscience offers specialist expertise in structurally complex gold, antimony, lithium and base-metal systems across the Tasmanides and other Australian provinces.
Technical focus areas include:
- Epizonal–mesozonal orogenic systems, including Fosterville- and Costerfield-style Au–Sb deposits (Alkane, Agnico) and Stawell-style Au (Navarre), with more than 6 years of experience across both deposits in exploration, underground and in resource definition
- Intrusion-related gold systems (IRGS), with experience in Devonian granodiorite/volcanics of the Eastern Lachlan Fold Belt (Dargues Gold Mine | Aurelia)
- Structurally-hosted and controlled base-metal systems, with experience exploring for VHMS/epigenetic copper in the Ordovician turbidites of the Western Lachlan Orogen (Tritton | Aeris), IOCG Copper-Cobalt-Gold in the Curnamona Province (Kalkaroo | OZ Minerals) and Spodumene LCT-Pegmatite within the Pine Creek Orogen (BP33 | Core Lithium).

Geological Training & Team Capability Development
Swann Geoscience provides targeted geological training that builds confident, capable teams — with a unique strength in developing early-career geologists, graduates, and vacation students.
With a background as both a professional geologist and a qualified science educator, I bring an evidence-based understanding of how people learn, allowing for:
- Clear, structured training utilising proven teaching techniques and theory of learning
- Accelerated development of graduates and junior geologists
- Supportive, engaging coaching for new staff in the field and core shed
- High-quality communication across mixed-experience teams
Training services include:
- Core logging best practice (lithology, alteration, mineralisation, structures)
- Mentoring in structural observations, stereonets, and mapping fundamentals
- Supervision of logging campaigns, field programs, and modelling workflows
This combination of technical expertise + teaching skill ensures your teams not only learn — they apply those skills confidently and consistently.
